Hi,
I live in Northern Ireland and would do anything to get an insulin pump... I know of only 2 people with an insulin pump. One is a diabetic doctor the other is a dietician who runs DAFNE courses......is there something strange here or i am being too suspicious....comments welcome
is this a reason i have got replies in private message forum?????????the forum is for diabetics to help diabetics, why come and post with gob ***** answers......
I swear I already posted on this topic, I must have been tripping...
Despite living in the United Kingdom, if you live in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland then you don't as far as healthcare is concerned. I think NICE guidelines apply to England only, Scotland certainly has a different advisory panel, and I know Wales do several things very differently. So I think the pump guidelines that a lot of people brandish when lobbying for allocation of a unit do not apply to NI?
Somebody tell me I've got this completely ass-about-face please, I can't believe what I've just written actually happens?
You are not losing your mind !! :?

Can people refrain from posting the same comment/question in several different places. It just gets confusing, as here.

Mate, I think the reply was meant to be ironic. In many places the only way you'll get the desired / appropriate treatment IS by having friends in the right places.
If nothing else you will need to keep a sense of humour about you situation. Without one, you'll be banging your head on a wall in no time.
