Are the effects of insulin localised?

So I’m doing some research regarding insulin and seem to not find an answer for this.

When we inject insulin does it mostly stay in that area?

I’m just curious because when I inject into my legs or buttocks for example and go for a walk my BG can be lowered very efficiently

Yes, walking will do that. They are the largest muscles in the body and will get that absorption working quicker.
