Dislikes
arrogant and assertive drivers, people with BO, no excuse for it these days
I have just joined the site, but have been diagnosed for about 3 years now
wasn't very good at being honest about my diabetes control till a recent scare
so i took control and took it very seriousley
now i feel i am becoming a bit of a bore about it and always pointing out to people things like
"do you know how much sugar is in that" and " get your blood checked", maybe its just a thing that will settle down as i get more relaxed about how i cope,
anyone else experience this??
hope your day is going well
Andy

Hi Andy,
sorry to say, yes i find myself saying the same! Worst still when my friend ate a wholepack of biscuits i said do you know how much sugar you are putting into your body!
Oh how bad of me, glad i am not the only one,
sandy

Guilty as charged! (you can tell this from the number of sites I post on)

It's a buzz when you find someone else in Real Life who has grasped the problem. I won a jar of jam or marmalade at a neighbour's charity do, someone pointed out I shouldn't eat it because of the sugar, and when I explained it would probably do less harm than the bread I would have spread it on, another (diabetic) neighbour agreed!

hya andy and welcome,
yes that sounds just like me  i look at foods in shops and say to hubby/kids ,have u seen how much id have to inject 4 that ? lol im terrible :D

Thank you so much people, thats made me smile knowing its not just me !!! :D :D

i will find myself now trawling the forums for hints and tips on coping and being positive instead of denying it and thinking i could just let my meds do all the work

please feel free to reply or drop me a message anytime
i will be a regular from here on and promise not to "bore" you all

Tara till later,

Andy,
