Good morning
My name is Antonio, I am from Spain and for work we have been living in the United Kingdom for a few months.
Our son is 12 years old and type 2 diabetes.
I write this post with the hope of being able to help people in our same situation, please if I break any rule of the forum, tell me.
For 2 years our son has used Free Freestyle and we are happy, it is not the best system in the world, but it is useful for us.
Last year we started using a bracelet that is manufactured in Spain called GlucoAngel, does the same as other systems, transmits the Abbott sensor information to any phone with Bluetooth, the system also allows to set alarms and warnings on the same phone that uses the child, or make a call to our phone. Which gives us great peace at night.
There are similar systems, such as Bluecon, or Smartwatch, etc. We have tried them all, or almost all of them. For the moment it is the system that we like the most since the armband covers the sensor and protects it at night. The mobile app shows the reading of the sensor and besides being able to set the alarms allows to calibrate the reading of the App.
The Armband in Spain is worth 174 Euros (154 pounds) and they send it in 2 days. I do not know if they sell outside of Spain
So far I had not read in the forum any reference to this product and it seemed a good idea to tell my experience.
