aspartame

I there anyone out there who can explain why Diabetics are not warned about the use of artificial sweeteners? Look it up on the internet under 'Aspartame- side effects' Aspartame is in virtually all 'diet' drinks, all 'sugar free' foods and drinks etc etc and it is poisonous.

Don't believe everything you see on the web. Whilst there are some concerns about aspartame, if you don't drown yourself in diet soda drinks then the amounts are small. Much better if you like sweetened drinks, as I do, to have sweeteners rather than sugar with it's 'poisonous' 50% fructose. I vary the sweeteners I have with hot drinks between saccharin, sucralose etc to minimise any one type. I always remind people that things such as rhubarb and horse radish as well as green potatoes are quite poisonous but with sensible quantities it's OK.
