At last my GP agreed I can stop taking Dapagliflozin.

I was prescribed Dapagliflozin (on top of Metformin) a year ago, because my HbA1c had risen to 88 mmol/mol. It did not get reduced until I started a low carb regime 2 months later. I stopped taking it a week ago, with my GP's agreement. Here are my early observations:
1. It has had no discernible effect on my glucose readings as shown on my CGM, although I do show glucose intolerance with rises after meals, even when little glucose is consumed. But I now very rarely go above 8-9.0. My most recent HbA1c, 6 weeks ago, was 49 mmol/mol.
2. My bowel movements became regular, after being constipated, sometimes severely, despite no change in my diet. If anything, I feel I need less hydration.
3. I still have burning when I pee, despite no UTI (my main reason for wanting to stop dapa). Foamy urine may have decreased, but not definitive.

This is just my own experience in my own situation, not a recommendation for anyone on a flozin. I personally would not go against my GP's wishes, except in extraordinary circumstances, and did not do so on this occasion.
