At what HbA1c level will medication be suggested?

I've been booked to see my own GP again in 3 weeks time. I was due a review with my GP in November anyway based on other health issues and meds I'm on. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: 15px"></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 15px">I was also advised to reduce and lose weight which is easier said than done, especially at this time of year.
