At What Point Do I See The Doctor?

My levels for weeks since diagnosis were 4/5/6. In the last week it has crept up and up from 7s to 8s and today 9s!!! Help. What to do? My diet hasn’t changed and still low carb. My fasting was 6.6 this morning before getting out of bed. Had two boiled eggs (forgot a reading before but an hour later was 8.1. I had a salad with lettuce, tomato, radish, tiny amount of chicken and half an avocado with water and a Diet Coke (DC never spikes me)
An hour after it was 9.6 and two hours 9.3. (I am stressed at the moment and time of the month). Is it time to admit defeat and go back to the doc for meds? - particularly as I have a foreign holiday coming up. Feeling a bit rubbish at the moment . Any advice gratefully received.

Been told probably T2 but having tests for LADA so I have no idea what type I actually am.

Stressed, time of the month, feeling rubbish ...
There are many things which affect our BG and you have just listed three which typically raise our levels.
If you are in the UK, you may be finding the heat is adding to the rise.

If you can (hahaha) relaxation is probably the best option for now. If you can relax, you should see your levels going down. And once your monthlies have passed, that will help. And, if the weather cools down, that may help further.

Thanks. The heat hasn’t bothered me at all in the past months. I can see that these things can all affect me. What I’m worried about is being so high for a long period and the damage it can cause. Just wondered if it was high enough to go to the doc, particularly with a holiday coming up. Just worried it continues to rise when I’m away....and it will be hit there to. Or should I wait and see what happens. Ahhh!

@Flora123 To me, the key words in your post are, "in the last week it has crept up". Life does have ups and downs and it can be a mistake to over react to the downs (or in this case ups). I've long been fascinated by a concept called "regression to the mean" or a tendency to return to the average after an untypical period. Now, of course, your measurements could be the beginning of something terrible and, by the time you read this, you may be recording numbers in the 20's, but it is equally possible that a glitch will subside and things will return to normal. Give it a bit more time.

If you are expecting the results of the LADA soon, then you could pop in and see the Doc while you are there.
RE the holiday. personally I would rather travel with the meds even if I wasn't taking them...just to be sure. And I have travelled with antibiotics and other meds in the past. Thats just me personally.
If you start on meds, they should lower your BG a bit, which in turn may help you relax and feel a bit better.
Dont forget your E111 card if you are going to a EU country.
I wish you well with your diagnosis and hope you have a nice holiday.
