August.............talk about

I have never been to Derbyshire, it sounds so lovely and welcoming, it's the shire part I think, I live in a shire county as well. Sorry but the shop can't be next door to a bakers, as it would drive me crazy, I have Coeliac disease. I do like the sound of the pub, only because of the log fire, I don't drink, sorry.

Netty and shzz, (((((HUGS)))))))) to you both xx

Thank you RRB difficult times without him, but your hugs for a stranger means a lot

I have just come in from my back garden, as I heard a noise. On the patio area a lovely Hedgehog, I always put food and water out and tonight it's the first timeI have seen one in months. I had to go and have a closer look with my finger torch/light and I was stroking it's nose very gently and it was enjoying it until, Pebbles our cat, jumped down off of the fence and startled it, but I can still hear rustling out there and so I have left the back door open

Hedgie pigs are great to have and we have plenty. They eat slugs so they are all most welcomed into the garden   ...

If we were all the same with the same tastes in art and literature then the world would be a boring place. What one person finds interesting to read another thinks its a huge pile of rubbish. For instance I was given a book when I was a teenager by my older brother (a minor miracle in itself) that he detested (aha we get to the reason why he gave it away ). I read the first page and was hooked, its probably one of the worst novels written but I liked it. I still have my battered copy with pages falling out and every so often, when I seam to have lost the will to read, I reread that book and it kick starts me off again.

Oh the book? Fly Fishing by JR Hartley.....

Seriously, its an American Book 'Lonesome Traveler' by Weldon Hill published in 1972. I have tried to dislike the story but I just keep getting drawn back to it... Difficult to explain really.

Oh an August is my favorite month because its the most peaceful for me. Happy birthday to all those August births

Is it not pouring with rain where you are? Both water butts are now full after weeks of being empty. Veggie meal for later will be odds and ends from the garden with marinaded and fried tofu. Followed by something very naughty!

Happy birthday Morganator!

Yesterday was spent clearing the gutters, down-pipes and drains from all the moss that is dislodged by the birds, followed by weeding and tidying the garden.

Today doing absolutely nothing, had a nice long walk with the dog earlier and have since sat around catching up with some music on Youtube, had my son's Dr Dre Beats on which have an amazing sound quality, soon to eat Sunday Roast so life's not too bad
