Hi I posted this in the drugs section but probably should have put it in this... any replies would be much appreciated!

I am Type1 diabetic (vibe2020 pump user, Hb1Ac 7-7.5%) 28 years old; I take levothyroxine, and was started on AVAPRO® (irbesartan) around 10 years ago as I had high levels of protein, I was then adviced to stop taking this but it was never recorded in my notes, as I went into my 20's my health got quite bad, with bad effects on my eyes (my Hb1Ac rose to 8/9% - and my protein levels again rose to dangerous level. My BP has always been ok and I do high levels of sports. I was restarted on AVAPRO® (irbesartan) as soon as they realised I had not been taking it and health has been fine since.
I am hoping to start a family in the near future and I am aware I can not take AVAPRO® (irbesartan) at all - are there are any recommendations for what I can take, possibly as natural as possible? Thanks"
After reading some of the posts I also realised I need to get my Hb1Ac down a fair bit.. will have to find some less competitive sports!!!
