Well as an intro to my problem here is a little background about me. I live a healthy lifestyle , I don't really like sugary/sweet stuff ever since I was a child ,I keep a trim body and I am super active, never smoked and I think I have had like 50 beers since I got of drinking age.

Anyway , about two years ago I had this situation , I started a normal week and everything was alright until suddenly on a sunny Thursday I was struck with this intense thirst and my body was on fire like something was burning inside me.

I resorted to taking my shirt off sitting under the hose and drinking a bottle of cold ice water. This helped for a while and I was able to make it to Friday but unfortunately the whole of Friday felt like I had malaria. I bought some antibiotics and swallowed them but I kept dragging my feet all day and that night I went to bed feeling really out of sorts.

It was Saturday , my nauseating feeling had not gone away and my thirst was really going nuts, I vomited a few times then some more until I was now choking and I think I saw some blood come out when I couldn't vomit any more. I wish I had gone to the hospital when I had the strength but unfortunately after all the vomiting I was in no condition to go anywhere let alone walk. I had to call my brother by the end of that Sunday because I was completely incapacitated , I could not walk on my own and I had a white canvas of light covering my eyes.I was in a critical condition when I arrived at the hospital. That week I lost almost 20kgs and I was reduced to skin and bones , I looked like someone in their final stages of AIDS. During my treatment the doctor noted that on arrival my blood sugar was 35 mmol/l and that he was having trouble controlling it even with insulin. I am lucky that I did not go into a coma that day , it would have been tragic.

Anyway I stayed thin for more than a year I looked miserable and even my clothes refused to fit I had to buy new ones. My blood glucose was stuck at 14 mmol/l for most of that time with the doctor clueless as to what was making it stay that high. I got so concerned that I started doing my own research on diabetes and symptoms of diabetes but nothing matched what I was going through. All this time I took my medication religiously hoping that some miracle would happen. My kidneys were in good condition , my organs were in impeccable shape but no one could find what was the matter with my abrupt weight loss , I even had to take a HIV test which returned negative.

Now , I live in an out-house adjacent to my parents living space and my father is a chronic diabetic from many years of bad lifestyle choices. He is in his last stages and the doctors have advised him to get a kidney transplant due to his failing organs. He keeps a fully stocked cabinet of drugs to help in his condition but no one really is allowed to go near it or rather even knows what is stocked in that space. I have enough reason to believe that something in that cabinet is causing my condition I will explain why.

I made a decision to openly discuss my concerns with the entire family present , it got a bit out of hand but I made a point that I will soon discover the reason why I have this condition even if it meant to have that medicine locker put under scrutiny by the proper authorities.

This was at least 9 months ago , and I can tell you that something suddenly changed. One morning I woke up feeling really dizzy with a crazy headache then I used the glucometer to check what was going on. I discovered that my blood glucose was 2 mmol/l , I panicked and I quickly dashed to the kitchen to take some slices of bread with strawberry jam. My glucose levels took close to 8 hours to get to 6.5 mmol/l. That was the day that my blood Glucose got back to it's normal ceiling. I took about two weeks to be sure and slowly did away with the medication that I was taking since it was draining me to hypoglycemic levels which was dangerous.

I am not reckless nor ignorant so I kept on checking my glucose levels. I even once did my own Glucose test where I bought a tin of glucose had three teaspoons and monitored the fluctuations with the glucometer. This was three months after the miraculous recovery , and the highest that my Glucose reached was 8.2mmol/l then in the morning without any medication back to 5.4mmol/l. I was please with this new change even my body got back to it's original state.

My muscles were completely wasted from the ordeal but as soon as my blood glucose got back to normal , I recovered most of what I had lost and I could have sworn that it was something that was messing up with my cells that made me seem diabetic.I forgot to mention the discomfort at the base of the neck (back of the head) which also went away, I used to pop my neck all the time to relive the pain but suddenly the urge to pop the neck and the discomfort went away.

I remained on that track for a while until recently when I am back to square one. This time , my muscles are not wasted and I seem alright but my blood glucose hit a high of 25mmol/l three weeks ago and I am stuck again at 14mmol/l unable to control it. No medication or insulin is able to act on the glucose and I fear that this round things might get even worse.I suspect a diuretic , immune-suppressant or insulin inhibitor is at play but I am not sure what tests to take in order to verify this.

I wonder what could make someone's blood glucose spike so suddenly because as I said I am not ignorant and I have been keeping a close watch on my blood glucose since the first incident. I was taking reading weekly every Friday and three weeks ago I discovered that my blood glucose was 25mmol/l (morning fasting) from a previous reading of 7.2mmol/l (after eating) from the previous week.

I am convinced that I have been dosed with a dangerous drug maybe a diuretic that makes my whole system confused , the neck pains have me thinking of something that breaches the blood-brain barrier , seeing that that urge is back with this new onset of diabetes.

If there is anyone who knows of a suppressant or inhibitor that is metabolised slowly or has a long hormonal imbalance effect , please share this information. I have read a lot about drug induced diabetes and I am 98% certain that this is my problem with diabetes right now. I am making plans to rent-out a place of my own soon so that I am as far away as the environment that is making me sick and I will post my progress regularly to this forum. People say that the cause of diabetes is unknown but there are a lot of factors in play that can lead to getting sick , mostly the environment and the things we put in our bodies.

Thanks for reading this long story , hope you get inspired to discover the root cause of your condition apart from what a doctor may tell you (most doctors just stick with the heredity story ignoring the little tiny details that are important).

I replied to your other thread about this and my response would have to be the same - there are things which can cause erratic blood glucose control but only your doctor can test for them and has probably considered them. However, my most concerning thought is that you suspect somebody is tampering with your food (maliciously) and you don't mention you've approached the police. I think your next conversation needs to be with them.
