it started like 2 weeks ago, one day my morning BG was 8.5, its usually between 5-6 so that scared me a bit. the day before i had some sweets on a little party, it was made from coconut flour and all low carb things, but i thought maybe i was not careful enough. but the next day my fasting BG was above 8 too and the whole day i got bad readings, i tried to have less carbs, after meal it was okay 5 something, but in an hour it jumped to 9. i was home all day, didnt have anything between the two readings so i didnt know whats going on. i decided to have a long jog that evening a little after meal and that helped, my BG was 6 something after dinner and the jog. next morning i got the usual reading, around 6 so i was happy, i thought i fixed it and we r back to normal but then it continued getting worse. i was diagnosed 2016 december so this idea also came to my mind, what if this is like the end of the "honeymoon period"..? i hear about this period a lot but i dont know how u can tell when its over. with being more strict on my diet and some work out i could keep my fasting BG under 8 but still above 7, still not so great to me. like a week after this all started i got a low reading 4.8 this was after a meal. the entire week i had high BG so it was odd, then before the next meal it went up above 8-9. again i had nothing between the two readings, i was just relaxing at home all day. i tried giving myself 1 unit more insulin before meal, that seemed to work, after meal reading was fine. but before bed it went up to around 9. so next day i wake up and realise that im going to have my period soon so maybe thats causing this all... i dont know i was just trying to figure out. well but usually i can only see that period is coming on my readings like 2-3 days before period not 2 weeks so i still found it weird. since im on my period (2days) its getting crazier, after meal BG 12, before meal around 8-9. exercise wont help much either, not eating raises my BG too. once it dropped down to 4 and jump to above 10 in an hour not doing anything again. i cant figure out whats going on. And worse is i dont have a doctor to talk to. i turned 18 a few weeks ago so i had to change all my docs. a month before i turned 18 i already started looking for a new diabetes doc, i got an appointment for april 21th, but they called me that they have to cancel it and gave me a new one for may 5 or 6. my previous doc told me she cant give me an appointment bcoz im 18 now so i should consult with a doc for adults. so its still 2 weeks without any help, i dont know if i go to just a hospital and ask for a doc they would help me ? i feel sick all the time for days now. i get a nosebleeding like 2-3 times a day, since few days ago thats what wakes me up in the morning and happens when im just doing nothing. my after meal reading was above 11 today after lunch so i tried exercising a bit but few mins later i started feeling sick again and then soon i got a nosebleed again. my BG goes higher and higher every day. i still dont feel like an expert so i dont know if i can give myself more insulin ? i honestly dont know if its just hormones causing it but im starting giving up on that idea bcoz i never had to struggle with diabetes this much while i was on period before and its also odd that this whole thing started 2 weeks before my period so i dont know if i can relate this to that. im sorry my story is messy, im honestly feeling so bad i just cant get myself together. i would be so happy to get any advices or if someone had the same experience whats causing it ?

You could actually be sick with something. This raises BGs as the body fights the infection.

However it's possible that your insulin needs are just changing, and the highs are making you feel sick.

Unfortunately, diabetes doesn't always behave predictably, and in some people it behaves very unpredictably, all the time. It sets the rules, and we have to adapt to them.

The book "Think Like a Pancreas" is a great way to learn more about self-adjusting your insulin. I have to adjust my dosages all the time because my body is just crazy. Actually the last few months have been easier than usual.

yes if you have a virus 0or an infection it can spike up your blood glucose...

I also had 2 days lately where my blood glucose was much higher than usual... and I was not even ill... so wondered a lot... seems as one suggested I had eaten far too little protein the two days before compared to my physical activity and maybe that made my body transform all my eaten proteins into glucose as well.... so if you are very active REMEMBER to get enough proteins...

our bodies are ore complicated than one would think at first glance.. ;):cool:o_O

thank u so much for ur replies, i dont know if im sick with something else, my head hurts like hell today, woke up to nosebleed again but after bfast my BG was 9 which s better than last days so im happy about that. instead of exercise i tried just walking around a bit, cleaning some and my BG went back to 7.7 3 hrs after meal. i feel dizzy from moving around so i ll try resting a bit.

Check your ketones. Sometimes when sick you can get ketones even though sugars aren't too bad. And if you don't feel better soon go to a doctor.
