I have suffered with diabetes for about 5 years with low readings of approx 7 to 10.

However has now shot up to an average of about 18 .

Had extra meds from gp and is slowly coming down.

Now experiencing problems with feet mainly toes feeling cold painful etc then feel hot so much so did not sleep at all last night .

Also some dark markings on ankles and veins seem to be prodruding.

Anyone else had this kind of problem pse

Thanks

David

Low readings of 7 to 10.... is that a mistake, "Low" ?

I'm assuming you are type 2, but your profile doesn't state which type yuou are.

I'd suggest you see your GP about your feet. The pain is probably neuropathy, some people get relief with using R-ALA, which is alpha lipoic acid supplementation. There are two types ALA and R-ALA, you need the R-ALA. I found it got rid of numbness in the lower leg completely, but it takes some time to work.

David, if you have bee not running those numbers high for a while, you could potentially be experiencing neuropathy.

In your shoes, is be trying hard t get my numbers down to a bit of a better level, but also showing those feet to your medical team. With the extremities, we can't be too careful.
