- being a diabetic and finding restrictions.to life style. people who do not understand the problems one has. not being able to afford to come back to uk for holidays as often, quite expensive. miss some foods that the French do not do. but can live with that French drivers. who love to tail gate. and they love to drive over the white line. in rural areas they are a pain. but get use to it. does put the wind up you. But driving in the UK found that drivers want to get as close as they can. and the traffic. it took me 25 minutes to get to friends house which was less then a mile away. due to traffic.
Had a couple of bad few days. my blood sugar was very Hi. One thing I cannot understand. I did not feel much difference. is that normal.?
After eating I took my reading after 2 hours . and my reading was very high. 272 was concerned so ate nothing just drank water.
In the morning it was down a bit. but still high for first thing in the morning..134. normally my blood sugar is around 113 124.
I have been using accu chek meter. so decided to check that with my old meter it was reading 3 to 4 lower. This was done minutes after taking the first reading.
Could this be the r correct reading. and the old meter is not working correctly. I give up.
But this morning. 124 so happy with that. and had breakfast one of your suggestions egg, bacon 2 rashers. mushrooms. and a small piece of French bread. coffee. took a reading only rose by 4 so happy about this.
what a pain all this is. You think that you are ok and find that you blew it................ I have tried to keep to the food that helps. but there are times it seems to go out of the windows. sorry just having a grumble. needed to let off steam.
Can anyone tell me what I do regards holidays. I have removed all ticks. so thatmy email box does not get cluckered. is that right ???
