Bad month so far

You know the saying life happens well that's what's been going on in my life so far -

I have been suffering with acute stomach ache since November had a endoscopy session and some lumps were found inmy stomach lining lucky it wasn't cancer but still have no clue about what's wrong with me.

I have been so focused on the lumps and pains that I've let my diabetes slide I have stopped exercising due to pains and stopped counting carbs and I've been giving my insulin randomly which has been making my sugars go haywire and my weight has gone up which means I've increased my lantus

I just need advice on how I can get back into my normal pattern of exercising and carb counting according to dafne coz I am finding it hard to get back to normal and my insomnia isn't helping at all

any advice will be appreciated

Very sorry to hear that you've been in so much pain. Of course you've let slide looking after your diabetes. Well done for coming through so much already - having the endoscopy and all that worry (the worst of which is over, you've come through it) as well as stomach pain. Talking on here about your diabetes shows that now you are ready to pick up the reins again.

As Jack has said, don't expect too much of yourself all at once, maybe get your carbs/insulin right for at least one meal per day to start with and then build up from there.

It sounds like you're an old hand at DAFNE, so you CAN do it again :) , just don't be too hard on yourself, you've had too much on your plate! :(

Thanks a lot jack and Liz one day or meal at a time - I used to comfort eat to ease the pain but now I have to get rid of the habit still in pain :( since the meds didn't work but hey s girls gotta do what a girls gotta to do

Going for a scan on Thursday - hopefully ill be back to normal soon :) and the pain will soon be over
