Stopped metformin bout 6 days ago and i know it doesnt make that much difference but had a bg reading of 19.8 before bed hardly slept a wink wi bathroom needs and way the high sugar made me feel, bm when got up was still 13.8, still waiting on my diabetic nurse getting in touch regards nit being able to take the metformin
 
When I stopped taking Metformin I realised it had no effect on my glucose levels at all - it is all down to what I eat.
Did you eat particularly high amounts of carbohydrates yesterday - or could the high reading be due to you coming down with an illness, or some increase in stress, as there are other factors which could be at play.
