Type 2 Bad readings?

I tested my BS 2 hours after lunch it was 10.5! I thought this can't be and tested it again and it was 6.6? what's up with this?
 
Did you wash your hands before re-testing? The initial reading could have been due to contamination on your fingers.

I was wondering about that, I did not wash before my first reading, just got up from a nap. used alcohol swabs on my second test and came out 60 points lower.

can it really make that much of a difference? I will have to make sure I am washing before every test!
 
May have been an iffy test strip .. they appear every now and again and give me a minor heartattack !!!!!

You're supposed to wash your hands before each test, I would imagine that the second test would have been the more accurate one as your hand may have been contaminated during the first test.
