Hi everyone. I am not Diabetic - but my Dad is.
Over the last 4 or 5 months or so I've had this horrible taste in my mouth - right at the back of my throat. It kind of tastes and smells like the "pear drop" smell that's associated with Ketones. I have been checking my blood sugar levels with my Dad's spare meter and they've been perfect... I do have other medical problems which could be the cause of the taste/smell (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) but I was just wondering if it's worth asking my GP to check me for Diabetes? Could I be pre-Diabetic?
