Hi Everyone
Well it will be a week tomorrow since my Son James started the new regime. Still finding our feet at the moment, but BG's are getting under control even though he came down with a cold. Now it is half term next week, we hope to be on top of things by the time he gets back to school. He found it strange having to go to the Nurse's room to inject (and hoping he would remember that he had to do this ) but he was gently eased in doing it for 2 days whilst being off for 3 days with a head cold.

I don't know if this has happened to any other youngster, but I seem to feel that my Son is acting a bit strange (silly) and (annoying) more than normal at the moment since this new regeime or is it his age (13), OR IS IT ME!! with all the information about carb counting

In my experience the changes in blood sugar levels affect me quite a lot, so it's not just his age. I'm 45 and still have days in which my family see me as being annoying, irritable and very capable of doing silly things. It can seem as if you're living in a bit of a cloudy room and it's hard to focus or concentrate. :)
