basal testing advice

Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me is it ok to have a no carb meal before basal testing or best to miss a meal entirely.

Agree with Rob, miss the meal and only drink water if you can.

Am on pump having a no carb meal is absolutely fine!

Hi Annie, you need to refrain from eating for a basal test. Heres a useful link http://integrateddiabetes.com/basal-testing/ you will need to convert the USA blood sugar results though

Hi thanks again for your replies, yes NicolaAnne I have been on the Animas Vibe for 2 months and also having trial of a Dexcom CGM. Thanks also CarbsRok for the link to the website, I have found it very clear and concise.
