It's pretty much the same.... just pick a day..... fast... and test your bg... if you bg is rising or falling then your basal maybe too high or low
Don't test immediately after getting up as dawn phenomenon may affect the result
Basically you just want a point where no food or Bolus will have an effect on your bg
You need to test a few time over an hour or more to see what the rise or fall is... also a time when you are not overly active
