Bayer Contour Next Control Solution

Hello folks, I'm using a Bayer Next USB meter. To date, I've used the Contour next solution on 2 different batches of test strips. The first batch read 7.2 and the second 7.5.
Are these values par for the course ?

Usually the pots the strips come in show the Low/Normal/High values for that particular pot of strips. How do these readings from the control tests compare with the pots the strips come from?

Also it would be worthwhile logging onto Bayer and downloading the manual for your meter. I often misplace paper ones but save the pdf version to my pc/tablet. One less headache in the long run
