Hi, I bought the BD Safe Clip Insulin Syringe Needle Clipper in June 2022 and have loved using it everyday since. It is small, lightweight and can travel nicely. It is finally full and I am needing another now, but have found out the manufacturer discontinued it. So far I can not find anything similar. Does anyone know of anything still available like that?
Thanks Barc777. Everyone I've talked to on our group on FaceBook that's used one, really liked it. I wonder why they discontinued it? I am still looking for anything similar, but so far no luck.
I thought they were dangerous as they gave a false sense of security.
After scratching myself a few times on the remnants of a cut needle, I stopped using mine and used a sharps box instead.
When out and about, I put my sharps in a small cosmetics bottle which I decant into my yellow box when I return.
Sarah69, I'm sorry, but do you mean you use the BD Safe Clip Insulin Syringe Needle Clipper and you just requested one? Or did you mean you use another type, and if so, can you please provide a link? Thank you!

I'm having computer troubles, sorry. Blame it on the hurricane! LOL
In Response, I'm very sorry you scratched yourself on the clipper. I'm not sure how that could happen. I can understand how you might not feel secure using it. I don't share those feelings however.
When out and about do you put the whole syringe and needle in a small cosmetics bottle until later, or just the needle part? If just the needle part, how do you separate the two? It seems I will have to learn a new way to do this and you have good information to share. Thank you!

I do not use a syringe, I use an insulin pen with the screw-on needles. It is just these screw on needles that I put in the bottle (and then the sharps box).
I am surprised you are using syringes. I thought most people were using pens (or pumps) nowadays.
