I wish I knew my BG would only decrease by 0.5-1mmol/L over night. I like to be above 8 but no higher than 11 or 12. My BG levels are so inconsistent over night it depends on what type of food I eat, whether I exercise and what time I exercise, it's ridiculous! The last 3 mornings I've had BG of 9.4, 3.7, 13.3. Drives me mad. However I do have the high morning BGs if I've over snacked before bed so I think it's a case of finding out what works best for you.
