Sorry you are feeling bogged down, bed is cosy you can escape, but watching a nice film in bed is also a good feel good factorIs there anyone else out there who longs for bedtime? I wish my evenings away so that I can slide under the duvet and forget about diabetes. Feeling a bit bogged down at the moment, although I'm managing my BG levels well.
I appreciate we can't get away from it, but at least sleep gives me respite from getting my head round the fact that I have diabetes. I was only diagnosed 4 months ago.Hello and welcome June.
I like my bed when I am tired, but not to get away from diabetes, because we cant get away from it ,but we can control it and thats good as there is a lot of illness we cant control.
I was in bed for 7 weeks three years ago with legionears picked up on holiday.I couldnt wait to get out of that bed and learn to walk again.
I now value each day.
but I think we all have down days, hope things get better for you.
Don't worry, I have every intention of staying here. I have learned a lot and it's very comforting to know there are thousands of us. After all we don't go around with 'Diabetic' stencilled on our foreheads, so I've probably met a lot of people who are diabetic, but I didn't know it.June stick with the forum, there is lots of help and support.
Now I have got my BS levels down,I dont realy give it much thought,It is a shock at first I know,I have been diagnosed for a year now,and realy feel fine.
A lot of people on the forum have had it for years.
We all help each other.
You are not alone june , when I first joined here ,i was a bit obsessed with all the health threads reading and reading now two years later I enjoy the social threads and fun threads ...a great diversion ...meeting great people and often having a great laugh ...keeps us going ...Don't worry, I have every intention of staying here. As I'm a widow, live on my own and don't want to burden my children too much, I find the forum very helpful. There's always someone out there who'll listen, give help and advice and be generally supportive. I try to take the view that someone has thrown a hurdle in my path and it's up to me to get over it. I'm doing my best and I intend to manage the condition as well as I possibly can. I've succeeded in getting my BS levels within the normal range, but mentally trying to accept that an Insulin pen is keeping me alive is hard to handle. Perhaps there are other people like me or maybe I'm an oddity
Thank you.
