Has anyone tried/used Berberine?
It is an alkoloid extracted from plants and is the subject of much medical research; it has been known about for centuries.
It is known to be at least as effective as metformin at lowering blood glucose. It also has LDL lowering properties, anti-inflammatory, anti-biotic and is an apatite suppressant. The herb goldenseal contains it.
I would be interested in anyone's comments or experiences.
