Best alcoholic drinks

I'm off to Cyprus next week on holiday - the first one since being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I'm comfortable with what I can/can't eat, but what would be the best alcoholic drinks to have? Thank you!
 
Go for spirits with diet coke or lemonade. Red wine is good too
 
I stick with red wine usually, but an occasional cold beer is nice in a hot climate, or a chilled white wine.
 
In terms of beer, Tennents lager is the best for my BGL but if you find that in Cyprus I'll give you a medal. One thing to note though, this is only from a can. For some reason draught lager sends me sky high. Same with draught Stella and Fosters, no use for BGL...

Red wine again as mentioned does nothing to my BGL.

And again, agree with any spirit and diet/sugar free mixer
