Best insulin for glycaemic control?

I am on Lantus and NovoRapid, was diagnosed two months ago.

Do you guys recommend other insulins for better glycaemic control? It seems Lantus/Levemir and NovoRapid are the default for everyone in the UK
 
Everyone is different, some people will find that the defaults work perfectly well for them some wont.
But you really need to wait til your honeymoon period is over before you can really properly tell.
