It can be hard if you're looking for finger food on the go. (That's why sandwiches were invented).
If you can sit down, then omelettes, salads, bunless burgers and loads of other things are great.
My impending problem is that I work with a boy who doesn't go to school, and on Tuesday I will be taking him out to lunch. Trouble is, he only eats sausage rolls, and even if I find a baker that does both sausage rolls and a salad, he may not sit still long enough for me to eat a salad.
I suspect it will be lunch in my pocket. The tins of tuna and salmon with salad give a reasonable lunch that doesn't have too many carbs for me.
Hey ho.

This is very like the problem I have when out with my son who has autism - i make myself a snack box of baby bel cheese, chunks of pepper, carrot cucumber and celery. Strips of ham rolled up even a cold sausage left over from breakfast in this weather will be fine I also have a couple of Nairn oatcakes just in case I go a bit low - a couple of squares of dark choc to sneak out of my pocket in the cafeIt can be hard if you're looking for finger food on the go. Okay I'll be more optimistic about the cream. It's so delicious and sustaining oh yumble yumbleI regularly get coffee with cream in little local cafés, and Costa are always willing to oblige (Americano with cream). Starbucks have looked at me as if I have asked them to stab me in the heart each time I have asked.
In our town centre I would go to Wetherspoons (mixed grill or salad) macdonalds (2x burgers minus the buns), burger king likewise, cold stuff from M&S, a lump of cheese (or baby bels).
In all circs I would prefer to take my own food and snaffle it on a park bench, so those listed above would be emergency dipping-too-low damage control options.
I suppose the very best option would be a humungous very low carb breakfast, which would make me forget about food until after 3pm...
