Which online pharmacy charges approx £12 for the test strips? Are they for the Nexus Rx?I have the Glucose Nexus Rx and the test strips are quite expensive to buy. My local chemist charges £18 for one box of 50 strips.
Even test strips for this meter on Amazon is about £16.
However I found an online pharmacy which charges approx £12 for the test strips.
I don’t know about any other meters as I have to pay for meter and test strips myself no help from GP.
I do find it a bit fiddly to use outside as I use the carry case and I need a flat surface to get to the lancet and the strips and meter etc. You first have to change lancet each time and then insert strip in meter but I have it now so I guess it’s not worth my while to change it. I wouldn’t want to use the glucose nexus if I had to check every 2 hours if I’m outside but It’s Ok if you at home.
Hopefully someone with experience of the Accuchek Mobile with cassettes will be along to give their experience.
Hope that helps

do you get your test strips on prescription or do you have to buy them yourself?Hi All, sorry to trouble you with is but my G.P has given me two meters and said I can choose whichever one I want. So I have a Accuchek Mobile with cassettes and I have the Nexus Gluco Rx. Im not too sure which one to use, The accuchek would be better because it being an all in one so to speak. I drive a lorry and have to test every 2 hours while driving. Any advice please.Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi Ian, You may have already made your choice since you posted this question three weeks ago. It seems to me that, because of your work, Accuchek Mobile would be easier, so that you don't need to fiddle with test strips. I hope that your GP is prescribing cassettes for the Accuchek, or test strips.Hi All, sorry to trouble you with is but my G.P has given me two meters and said I can choose whichever one I want. The instructions to change the lancet everytime really only apply to health care people as they need to change between each person. If its just you, you can reuse the needle many times. Saves both time and moneyYou first have to change lancet each time
Many thanks for that Brekkie. I am thinking of getting the Libra just to see if you know what I meanHi @Lainie71
I use this pharmacy online. Easy registration and I think delivery is free for orders over £25 I can’t remember as I always order 3 boxes of strips together. I have been using them to order my glucose nexus RX strips since June. I was also going to look into the Libre cost from them. My latest order for the strips is on the way but I just checked and their website today and it is down right now as they are moving premises. I just placed an order last week on Thursday. I have confirmation that my order is on it’s way. They have been reliable up until now. This is the first time I had ever used an online pharmacy and was quite cautious about ordering anything but I had checked on companies house and they were registered company and they have a pharmacist registration number. I phoned them and I also emailed them and they also answered any questions and since then they have delivered within a few days. I’m hoping to receive my order next week. Will let you know when I receive the order and if there’s any problem. I hope not!

I believe there are now a number of online pharmacies and you can check if they are legit by checking their pharmacist registration.
Keep you guys posted.
You should ask your pharmacist about it if you are on the diabetes register Ie you have a diagnosis and they are charging VAT they should not be or they should provide you with the relevant form to claim for a VAT refund. My pharmacist just charges £18 flat. No mention of vat exempt or anything
Just priced up libre 2 with this company. It’s cheaper to get direct from abbotHi @Lainie71

Hello Thank you for the reply and yes I do get them on prescription which is a god send. I like both of them but I think the mobile one seems to suit me because of being in the lorry.
