Best snacks

Hello sputnick007
I found that after a few weeks on the LCHF diet I no longer got hungry between meals, so the need for snacks has greatly reduced. If I do fancy anything I will usually have a few nuts or some cheese, occasionally I will have a packet of pork scratchings.
Have a look here http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/low-carb-recipes.4871/ you might find some inspiration.

I carry a small bag of Brazil nuts in my bag, just in case.
When I've needed to be pounding the pavements for several hours, and I know it's going to be cold and wet, I take a few slices of Cheddar wrapped in clingfilm. Very comforting when you are cold, wet and tired.
Carrying something around helps to avoid the 'Pret effect'.

But as catinahat said, with LCHF there's not this 'I must have something to eat and now!' that you get with a high-carb diet.

Edit: Nuts should be varied. Don't have too many Brazils, for instance.

The best thing I found for those times when far from proper food, was (and is) Babybel cheese.
I also carry 2 oatcakes, but rarely need to eat them, as my rule is to drink at least 600mls of water before eating emergency carbohydrates.
