Best time to exercise off blood sugar

Ok, so I'm now treadmilling at ten minute portions when I can but does anyone know the optimum time to do it for getting rid of blood sugar?
If I've had a meal at 12noon, can I assume I should go walking around my office block at 2pm when the blood sugar is doing it's stuff? My employers are very good about this, as long as I make my time up, they don't mind when I go off for a stroll.
Or should I go before the blood sugar hits (before 2 hours?) or even after?

Any advice would be gratefully received!

I used to wonder the same thing and advice I found on here suggested exercising within 20-30 minutes of eating was best, so that any excess BG floating around from the food you've eaten will be used up during the exercise, meaning levels drop back to normal quicker. I try to follow this model and it does works for me. I also find that if I don't get time to exercise within this timescale and/or have eaten a few more carbs than normal or have had a larger portion of food my test an hour after eating is usually higher than I would like it but I can get it down by walking on my cross trainer for 20-30 minutes or swimming for 30-40 minutes. Exercise is definitely the key, along with LCHF. Hope this helps.
Ps if you exercise 2 hours after eating your BG levels are usually back down by that time anyway.
 
I have not exercised in years and have just started LCHF. I have lost 4lbs in a couple of weeks. I have decided to get some exercise now. I thought I would start on maybe 20 mins 3 time a week on the exercise bike - now do I do this before or after my evening meal?
 
There's no bad time to do exercise, but I find that if I want to burn off glucose from a meal I will exercise about 1 hour after starting to eat that meal.

Prolonged exercise on an empty stomach I find tends to provoke the liver into producing glucose because it realises that there's no food coming.
 
I concur that generally I peak at about an hour after eating. However this does depend on what I eat. Very fatty foods are often peaking closer to the 2 hour mark with little sign at one hour. You may need to test and work out for yourself
