- soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
In many of the posts, I read of people testing BGs 2 hours after eating. I know this is the norm, but have read Dr. Lois Jovanovic's paper on the Diabetes Symposium ( you can google it) who says that the peak is actually only 1 hour after tthe first mouthful. She says there's no point in measuring AFTER it's started to drop.
Her contribution to the symposium is impressive. Perhaps waiting 2 hours is what causes HbA1cs to be higher than expected?
I'm a type 2 and not really allowed to test. I must try the 1 hour thing myself. I have a few scrounged strips
The real test would be at 1 hour and follow an hour later
