Best way for a toddler to wear a pump?

Hi

My 2 year old is getting a pump in November (Yeah!!) What are some good ways for him to wear the pump? He is extremely active and I'd like it out of the way.

I had a look at some of the US websites and they seem to offer a choice of harnesses and waist belts. Is there any where in the UK that does this type of thing?

All advice and suggestions gratefully received!

HI Annette...what kind of pump is he getting? Accucheck has some of their own..and I am sure other manufacturers do too.

Persoanlly ( and I am a female in my mid 30s..but I do have an active 2 year old boy, I would try the sewing nany socks on teh inside of some of his trosers, tops pyjamas etc. They work really well...and are cheap etc. As your son is only 2, it may be something to do with all those socks he keeps growing out of? Of course, whether this works dpends on what he is wearing...but things like tracksuits trousers etc, it works just great. Best of luck :D

My daughter is 5 so not a toddler but I thought I'd let you know that we have bought pump belts from http://www.tallygear.com and they are great! They are soft, comfortable, great for sleeping in and really secure. The velcro is heavy duty - great if you don't want your little one to access the pump and start pressing buttons! (remember you can also lock the pump too though). When choosing something remember to think about how much access you will need to the pump. We have a remote control so rarely need access which means that we can have it nicely tucked away. We bought one belt before we got the pump so that we could try it out first and then ended up buying two more! It is an American based website but the transaction went smoothly.

Hi, sorry a bit of a late post but... just before I got my pump, I saw one of my mum's friend's child who had a pump he was around 4 [ a tad older, i know] but he had a cute little red bum bag to put his in, and he actually loved wearing it! :)
