Hello hello,
I've only just joined here but have had Diabetes Type 1(secondary) all of my life.....so it's taken me a while to say Hi!
Here's a little bit about me:
Name - Rebecca
Age - 36
Diagnosed - when I was born, as a result of having two major operations within 1st 6mnths to remove my pancreas
Medication - levemir and novorapid, carb counting
Children - 1, aged 2
Lives - Mansfield
I enjoy reading - Val McDermid, chick lit, thrillers, shopping, exploring the great outdoors with a toddler, I would like to travel a bit more. I really should do more/some exercise, but am seemingly allergic to the gym :o Many months of wasted gym membership gone to waste!
I work part-time in Nottingham, and am at home with my little boy 2 days a week, live with my long-suffering boyfriend who I love for loving me and all that comes with it - several diabetes-related problems over the time we've been together, all hypo-related. Currently at a stage where weighing up pros and cons of a pump/CGM.

Looking forward to joining in with discussions, I'm certainly still learning even now!

Hi and welcome

We seem to have gym allergy in common. Every year I fill duty bound to renew my membership but end not us duty bound to use it.

I did not renew this year and I am actually exercising more by going on daily walks outside which I enjoy much more ( Cyprus winter weather being very mild) than being closed up in a gym. I also play some tennis.

Find yourself a form of exercise that you enjoy doing, you are much more likely to stick with it.

Again welcome

Pavlos
