Hi, everyone, finally joined the forum after lurking for a long time! My Type 2 diabetes is the result of steroid treatment four years ago for ulcerative colitis - the treatment didn't even work so I eventually left hospital with no colon (yes, I'm a bag lady:D), MRSA and diabetes. The diabetes scared me most and it felt like the end of the world. Now, although obviously I'd rather not be diabetic, I'm managing it to the point my medication is going to be halved and I quite enjoy working out adaptations to recipes so I can try out new things. Looking forward to learning a lot more here.

Hiya,
Welcome
Maybe we will learn something new to eat from your recipe adaptations if you care to share?

Hi and welcome from me. Steroids have a lot to answer to as far as blood sugars are concerned. :(

Now you have stopped lurking, jump right in and join us.

Thanks for the welcome and hello to other newbies. I'll make my way over to the recipes thread soon, although it's less actual recipes and more finding substitutes for high carb ingredients.
Hi Cika and welcome. Good cat :cat:
*Shifty eyes* What gave it away …?
