Hi I am desperately trying to lose weight and reduce meds.

I have been checkinh my bg and a couple of times at about 4.30 after lunch (around 1pm) it has 3.7. I feel fine but wondered about this - is it too low?

Thanks

Yes too low...eat a few more carbs to hold it up...
optimistiic ??? Maybe ..not a lot to go on from o.p. ......would be more helpful if you made your solution available rather than pass bywith odd ratings...!!!

I think it depends on your medication.
If you are taking insulin, for example, I would suggestion your dose is too high.
If you are treating your diabetes with diet alone, I would not worry. People without diabetes register values below 4 sometimes.
There are some scenarios under which you are more susceptible to low BG such as after exercise.
And don’t forget that our meters are accurate to -/+ 15%. So your true reading may be above 4.
