Hi
As I've been on a relatively low carb regime for a little while, I have just realised that I have had several totally restful, undisturbed nights sleep - WOW. Its not down to lack of stress, 'cos as you know my doctor wound me up big time last week. The last couple of years - post menopause - really bad sleeping pattern, often not much more than a hour or two. As my BG is certainly much more stable than it was, seem to have eliminated the really nasty spikes, I was wondering this has made a difference to my sleep?

Any views?

Hi halfpint

I started my LCHF in July up till then I used to be the most awful sleeper, I was shattered most of the time which I took to be the reason I couldn't stay awake after carby meals !

Since probably the beginning of August I started to have the odd unbroken night, now 3 months on I sleep through most every night - I don't know whether its have more even BG numbers or what but I'm loving it and there's no way I would give any of this up to go back and test it

I put my exhaustion down to sleepless nights too - OK they might not have helped but now I am pretty sure that the exhaustion was down to the spikes I was getting.

God, its so nice to feel that I am getting my life back ! :D
