I think I've got my wires crossed somewhere. I have been under the impression that BG generally rises during time is stress. Correct?
I've been monitoring mine and its glaringly obvious when I've been "actively engaged" in something ie concentrating my BG drops slightly. This is noticeable with driving too so I always eat first, even for just a 5 minute journey I notice a difference.
But that is NOTHING compared to when I'm put in a stressful situation. So this morning for example was my 6 month review at work. I knew I would find it hard so I purposely let my BG rise, 11.3 before it bargain at 9.30am. I'm a graduate at a large oil firm and was hired to work offshore. The review proceeded to highlight time after time where I've not met my contract due to the recent diagnosis. They were not blaming me at all of course, but as they drew attention to the areas I will never be able to achieve due to my diabetes I was understandably getting more upset and stressed by it. When I was FINALLY released at 12.30 I checked my BG and it was 5.1. That's less than half.
Does any one else notice such large drops in stressful situations? Or during "mental stimulation" or whatever you want to call it!
