What does Diabetes UK receive from promoting these meters? All of them seem to have very expensive test strips - which are perhaps helping to bankrupt the NHS. My surgery gives away the MyLife Pura X meter. Seems very good or at least, adequate. I've had to buy some test strips on Amazon (quicker than doing a special repeat prescription), and was stunned at how cheap these strips are compared to all the ones for the meters that Diabetes UK promotes/sells/advertises. Surely it's these long term-costs for the NHS that are important?
