Type 2 Bg Reading Question

Hi everyone. Ive just been out for a meal with the wife. Pre going out blood was 10.8. Had lamb shank a big bowl of mixed veggies, it was hard to avoid the carbs but I did it. Quick walk for 10 mins with the baby and blood sugar at 2 hours is 8.6!!!! Came home took my 1000mg metformin sr and just tested again now and it’s 10.2. I’ve had nothing else to eat and only had water to drink. Any ideas what could cause this?

Sorry fella but slightly confused here.

How long between the 'quick' baby walk, the 8.6 reading and the 10.2 reading?
 
And when was the 'quick' baby walk and how fast were you going?

Reason I'm asking these questions is that sudden brisk exercise can actually raise one's glucose levels.

Ahh ok I didn’t know that. The walk was after dinner so around 8pm and it was gentle to moderate walking
