I read that Cinnamon reduces BG and have started adding a sprinkle to my Weetabix in a morning. Are there any other foods that actively reduce or help to reduce BG. ?

Sorry to intrude on your topic /: but I love the Twinings fruit tea range as I find that normal tea brings my blood sugars up a bit... Peppermint tea is my favourite at the moment and also helps with those little tummy niggles :)

At the moment I've got the peppermint, chamomile and honey, strawberry and raspberry and cinnamon and cherry teas by Twinings and they're fantastic I recommend them! Especially if you like warm drinks now that the winter is coming :)

Sorry again /:

Camomile Tea. If I drink a cup it will lower my blood sugar by 2 to 3 points within the hour. Every time! It is well worth trying. I just dunk a tea bag or two,and drink. It is amazing.

Julia - I have found the same effect - I dont even have to drink a full cup - just use one teabag to make a mini teapot each day and add a little to whatever I drink with my breakfast and evening meal. it has helped me a lot. with someone would do some research on this so we could manage on pills instead of jabs 4 times a day!!!

lemon juice or apple cider vinegar added to prepared food

Yes trevor, reducing carbs does. How are your bg levels after your Weetabix? I cant eat that it shoots my levels up.
