Hi everyone
I'm new to posting on here. I was diagnosed with type 2 3 years ago. I've been feeling unwell recently and went to the doctors this evening. She tested my bloods as I have never been issued a meter and they were 15.7. Is this a hyper and any tips as to help lower.
Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum. Best way to reduce your levels is by lowering your carbs and buying a meter so you can test yourself and see how you react to certain foods. Also, have a good look around this forum. It's been a great help to me. Loads of information, tips and support. My bg was at your level a couple of weeks ago. I've now got it regularly around the 5 mark. Good luck. You can do it

Thank you
I was diagnosed a few years ago but only recently struggling I will get back on track again and thank you for your reply x

I know what you mean. I was diagnosed in 2011, had good control then lost the fear factor and became complacent. Sometimes it can be a vicious circle. After my last Hba1c a few weeks ago Dr said if I don't get it back down I'll have to go on to more serious meds, so I've got the fear factor back......for now!

Just stick with the forum and you'll be able to do it. I find reading it every night gives me the incentive I need...... and reminds me that I really am a diabetic lol. I tend to stick my head in the sand and deny it, oops!
