Hey guys,

I'm desperate for your help because my DSN is on holiday all week!

My sugars have been high lately (between 7 and 10, sometimes up to 12 or even 16!) and I've been correcting generously using 1:2 but little has been changing.

My sugars keep going up without me eating! Just an hour ago I was 5.3 and feeling a bit hypo but within the hour I've gone up to 9.6 without eating a single thing and hardly moving a muscle. I know about dawn phenomenon but this is constant throughout the day. Has anyone else experienced this???

Thank you so much for all your advice.

@jemmaedias The forum may need more information regarding your medication and regime before anything else.
I'm on a basal/bolus regime and have found whilst doing a fasting test my sugars have risen significantly, which ultimately led to a correction on my background insulin.
Give us more information and I'm sure someone will be able to help on the forum

Jemma, this is often the sign that your long acting insulin is not correct and you may need to adjust it. A good place to start is here: https://mysugr.com/basal-rate-testing/
