Ok although I don't tend to test every day as I know most of the foods that I can/cannot eat!You may get a delayed carb affect.
Yesterday my fbg was 11.2 and all I think it can be is delayed carb affect after partner's birthday cake and carb nibbles which seemed to have been ironed out that day by my insulins but.... maybe?
Would you let me know if in next few days you get high unexpected one off difficult readings?
Yes so do I but doesn't always stop me and do get surprised some times.Ok although I don't tend to test every day as I know most of the foods that I can/cannot eat!
Hi @ickihun just to let you know my FBS was 5.2 this morning and random reading of 4.4 on getting home from work at 5.15 so think all is well. You may get a delayed carb affect.

Thanks - my hba1c is currently 38 so hopefully I can keep it at that levelWhilst not wanting to appear to be raining on anyone's BBQ, I would just like to add that your gardening could have had a positive effect on your blood glucose numbers, as you may have been moving around and undertaking more physical labour than your day to day activity.
Quite a few T1s find gardening can have their bloods go down.
I do hope your good numbers continue.
@ickihun I was diagnosed with an hba1c of 48 which increased to 54 when I was prescribed statins. Once I stopped taking them due to sid effects my hba1c reduced to 36 and has been 38 for the last year or so which means that my hba1c has been in the 30s for more than 2 years - I have my annual check in August so I'll see what happens then. However whilst I feel that I am in remission when I discussed it with my DN i was told that 'once a diabetic always a diabetic' which seems to be contrary to what many forum members have been told by their Drs or DNS.@Daphne917 at what stage would you class yourself as in remission?
Now?
Sounds great but it may well be because of the hard work you did during the day. This could have upped your general metabolism - in the same way that exercise does - which is why we are encouraged to exercise every day. It would have been interesting to know how much hard work was done (measurable in calories? - probably not, and what you BS was before you started.I went to my brother in law's yesterday to help with some work they were doing in their garden and about 8.30 we decided it was time to stop for something to eat - went to the local chip shop and got chicken, chips and curry sauce. This was 'washed down' with an ordinary coke . Not sure of the total carb content but probably more than some would have in a day let alone one meal! Tested BS when I got home about an hour later - 9.3, after 2 hours - 8.8 and after 2.5 hours 6.4. FBS at 6.30 this morning 5.4 so pleased with that!! I nearly didn't bother to test because I thought I knew what the results would be however I'm glad I did and it just goes to prove that you never know!!!
