Bloating

I am type two on metformin x 4 per day.

I just wondered does anyone suffer from sever bloating to the point where they look pregnant when they are not :( :(

This is me at moment and I wondered if it was diabetic related :?: :?:
 
I go through bouts of suffering from bloating due to metformin. I find that peppermint tablets from Holland and Barrett (or one of the bigger supermarkets) really help.
 
Ask your nurse or doctor if you can have slow release metformin. Many people suffer stomach issues on the regular stuff. I was taking a tablet 20 mins before eating and taking my metformin to stop the inevitable trip to the loo later, until I discovered this site and the advise to ask for slow release. Apparently its slightly more expensive.

Hi, I go through bouts of bloating to but is isn't related to the diabetes I don't think. I have thyroid and menopause which could be the problem, even the doc's can't find out with everything else going on...lol. :)
