Hi. I have type 2 diabetes which is being controlled well with medication.

However I also have quite severe osteoarthritis which has been flaring up badly this last few months. As a result my mobility is down and I have noticed a lot of swelling in my ankles and lower legs. GP assures me there are no clots just aedema. Anyway received a lecture from my foot health person about the swelling and need to address re my diabetes.

Walking just isn’t possible to any useful extent and wondered about investing in one of the circulation booster machines. Given on quite low income splashing out £250 ish is something that I need to think about.

Wondered if others found them useful and which brands. The ones I am looking at are Revitive.

Thank you in advance

Hi,
I have no personal experience of the machine you mentioned but my dad’s friend has one and he swears by it.
I’m seriously thinking of getting one for myself.
I read that if you live in the UK you can claim VAT exemption.
So if it is 299 pounds that would reduce it to 240 pounds. It is a lot of money, but if it works then it’s an investment in your health you could look at it as a Birthday and Xmas present for your future
My dad’s friend, who through a terrible illness is housebound and can barley walk, thinks it’s wonderful.
I’m sorry I can’t give you any other info even my at least my own personal experience.
I hope someone else will be along soon to help you out.
Perhaps you could ask your doctor or a foot specialist maybe they could give you some advice.

I had one and used it once. I spoke with my podiatrist who put me off. I returned it yesterday. Speak with your GP and or your podiatrist before you order one.
