Blood glucose and Flu

I've heard that BG goes up when you are ill. I have not really noticed this too much in the past. However, I am currently going through the latest bout of flu/heavy cold that seems to have hit most of my office. This time however my BG has been hitting 9.6 and 10.1 when I normally am between 5.8 and 6.8. Is anyone else having similar problems?
 
Quite normal to experience higher bg levels during illness.
 
Hi,just to let you know your not the only one who has been getting higher than
normal results,like you have been suffering this awful cold/flu for nearly ten days,
my "normal" readings range between 4'9-6'5. Have recently been getting 10.6. Just been
to the diabetic clinic session with my husband today, and they said this is quite normal.

That's good to know. The good news is that now that I am on the mend my numbers are back down to normal. :D
