Hello
I wonder if anyone can help me here please?
On waking this morning at 8am I checked my level and it was 5.5. I was then distracted and didn't have my breakfast until 11am so checked level again and it was 6.8. How come it had risen when all that had passed my lips was a cup of tea (no sugar of course!)?
Thanks, Janice

Most likely because your liver has released glucose to give you a kick start. Many refer to it as the dawn phenomenon.

That would be normal for me, unless I'd done something exercise-y in the meantime.
