Blood Glucose monitoring

So in June I had diabetic ketoacidosis. I’m a type 2 and my hb1ac was 50 at the time. It has left me completely panicked. My doctor believes it was caused by a reaction to a viral infection although they were never able to determine what once they ruled out covid, sars, flu and glandular fever. (I believe it was shingles on my scalp).

Han anyone recommend a good fitness watch that would also monitor blood glucose or is useful for diabetics? I used to have an old Fitbit which I loved but is really old. I’m hoping this will give me a little confidence while getting back on track with low carb eating

No, because unfortunately there are currently no watches or fitness bands that can detect your blood glucose by themselves. The ones that claim to do it are scams.

Those that do work all require a CGM (like a Libre or Dexcom) to actually detect your blood glucose.
